National Hydrological and Meteorological Service The Hydrological and Meteorological Service conduct direct protection of a discrete area of the country. The basic duties HMS are: analysis the current state of the atmosphere and hydrosphere, prepare and disseminate bulletins, messages and forecasts, collaborating in the area of protection with state administration, crisis intervention structures, the media and other recipients (both at the central and at the local levels), collaborating with analogous foreign offices in the area of forecast and warning transmission in extreme situations, as well as data exchange.
