2 13 th Amendment The 13th Amendment was the constitution abolishes.It happened January 10,1865.

3 14 th Amendment To The Constitution The 14 th Amendment to the Constitution grants citizenship to former slaves.this happened in 1868.

4 15 th Amendment To The Constitution The 15 th Amendment To The Constitution prohibits states from denying the right to vote of race.This happened in 1870.

5 Emancipation Proclamation Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves.It happened January 1,1863. Despite this expansive wording, the Emancipation Proclamation was limited in many ways. It applied only to states that had seceded from the Union, leaving slavery untouched in the loyal border states.

6 Little Rock Nine The Little Rock Nine were a group of African American students who were enrolled in Little Rock Central High school in 1957.

8 Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream”Speech The speech took place in Washington D.C, August 28,1963.The main idea of the speech was that one day people can be treated.It was important because people wasn’t treated equally.

10 Harriet Tubman Harriet Tubman was born 1820 was an African American abolitionist, humanitarian,and Union spy during the American Civil War.. After escaping from slavery, into which she was born, she made thirteen missions to rescue over seventy slaves using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad..

11 Thurgood Marshall Thurgood Marshall was born July 2, 1908 he was an American jurist and the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court Of the United States. Before becoming a judge, he was a lawyer who was best remembered for his high success rate in arguing before the Supreme Court.
