5. Every country of the world has many popular, famous writers, poets and some of them you know and read their books. What American and English writers do you know?

6. Mark Twain Mark Twain is one the famous American writers of the second half of the 19th century. His real name was Samuel Clemens. He spend his childhood in the small town on the Missisippi River. After his father’s death he went to work at the age of 12. For ten years he worked as a printer in many American towns. Then he worked on the ships on the Missisippi His first short story was published in 1867. In1876 he published “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”in which he described the life of a boy in a Missisippi town. Mark Twain was a great ralist, a great story- teller with a fine sense of humour.

7. William Shakespeare William Shakespeare was one of the world’s greatest poets and playwrights. He was also an actor he was born in 1564. He wrote comedies, tragedies and other plays. And Shakespeare’ playwriting was recognized all over the world. His plays help the reader to be better, wiser and happier. I know some of his works for example “Romeo and Julie”, “Hamlet”, “King Lear” and others.
