10 Closure Discuss what you have learned about 1 tribe today. Take the Unit 1 Review sheet and work on for homework. It is due on Thursday.

11 Wednesday, Sept. 10th Bell Ringer: Add these words to your vocabulary list for Unit 1: Confederacy : alliance of peoples for a common purpose Tipis : cone-shaped tent made of poles and animal skins. They were easy to move. Nomads : people who wander in search of food Pueblo : large, multi-family housing in the Southwest Adobe : mixture of wet clay and straw dried in the sun to make bricks

12 Small Group Project Your small group will be assigned a tribal area to make a presentation. You will present in class tomorrow: 1. Work together as a team – everyone should contribute. 2. Be creative! 3. Use your knowledge of the regions of Texas and the tribes in your assigned areas. Your presentation should illustrate the challenges and hardships, food sources, housing choices, lifestyles, etc.
