6 Anger To get Angry at someone you must first put them in the wrong ANGER: Rage, being uptight, disgust, being mad, vengence, fury, resentment, irritation, being evil, annoyance, being upset, frustration. Raise a person’s energy in order to push through blocks. If you want something and can’t get it, you feel frustrated and the chemical of anger is produced.

12 Emotions occur whether we are aware of them or not. Other people can sometimes see our emotions which we are unaware of. Society has all sorts of rules around emotions All emotions are valid and no one can make you feel anything.

13 Can we use emotions to motivate people? Respond to the signals you see in others. Watch yourselves!

15 Coping Methods Acting out: not coping; giving in to pressure. Aim inhibition: lowering sights to what seems more achievable. Attack: trying to beat down that which is threatening you. Avoidance: mentally or physically avoiding that causes distress.

16 Compensation: making up for a weakness in one area by gaining strength in another. Conversion: subconscious conversion of stress into physical symptoms. Denial: refusing to acknowledge that an event has occurred. Displacement: shifting of intended action to a safer target.

17 Fantasy: escaping reality into a world of possibility Projection: seeing your own unwanted feelings in other people. Rationalization: creating logical reasons for bad behavior. Regression: returning to a child state to avoid problems.

18 Somatization: psychological problems turned into physical symptoms. Repression: subconsciously hiding uncomfortable thoughts.

19 Suppression: consciously holding back unwanted urges. Trivializing: making small what is really something big.

21 Awareness & Identification What am I feeling? Is that anger or Fear? Separate the emotions, do 1 at a time. First few are easy, then they get more subtle as you grow, then they get more subtle as you grow. Got to keep learning about them.

22 Allowance and Acceptance I’m ready, let’s get it done. Bring it on. Again, just a decision, but a tough one we’re talking about total life change here. it feels as bad as you imagined, but once faced it, you feel both pride and relief. Once you’ve been there, the feelings won’t scare you as much anymore. This is the toughest stage. This is where the real healing is done.

23 Release Let It Go! You’ve been angry about that long enough. It’s time to release the resentment, the blame the hatred. Time to move on. Some people have a hard time here. Others have a looser grasp on things and can let go of negative events quicker with less damage. Let go of pain and choose to move on.

24 Rejoicing! Surprisingly difficult! It’s tough to make a big deal about YOU! We can Love, give love and feel loved We DO get to enjoy our lives!
