3. THIS SEMESTER  Brief 1920’s follow up  Great Depression and New Deal  WWII  The Cold War including the wars within it  1950’s-1970’s culture  Civil Rights Movement  Watergate/80’s/Persian Gulf War  Terrorism

4. We will have more..  PROJECTS – Probably 2-3 this semester  Essay – You will write at least one for sure.  FUN - I have tricks up my sleeve as always  TERRIBLE JOKES

5. NOTEBOOKS  SOME SHOULD BE GETTING CLOSE TO NEEDING A NEW ONE.  CONTINUE WITH LAST SEMESTER’S UNTIL THAT POINT  We will do a check every other week to keep you on track and earning points.  I will be stamping WAYYY more than last semester.

6. ASSESSMENT STATEMENTS and VOCAB  Not as many per set as last semester. 3-4 per set with 5 vocab terms  I will give these EVERY OTHER FRIDAY, and have them due the following MONDAY (11 days later)  First set will be given this FRIDAY (1/8) will be due MONDAY (1/18) which is MLK day so TUESDAY (1/19)

7. IN CLASS PARTICIPATION  KEEP YOUR PHONES AWAY!!!!! I will take points away from your grade if they become a distraction like some had them become last semester.  Constant off-taskness. We will start a seating chart Friday to change things up, but if I feel you’re here to just screw around and not learn, I will take points away.

8. History Questions!  Just like last semester, these are questions we will answer by the end of the semester.  Please write minimum of 4-6 sentence paragraphs for each  Have fun with it if you can’t think of anything serious!

Describe the homefront during WWII.  4. What was the purpose of containment, and whatactions were included in the policy?  5. Describe the Cuban Missile Crisis  6. Describe three events during the Civil Rights Movement and their purpose.
