Vicariously (adverb) ◦ experiencing something through another person ◦ I’ve never been to Europe so I have to live vicariously through my friends who have.

Viceroy (n) ◦ a ruler exercising authority in a colony or community on behalf of someone else ◦ The viceroy in Cinderella brought the glass slipper house to house, looking for the owner, on behalf of the prince and king.

Vice Versa (adverb) ◦ commenting on reversing items in a statement, implying the statement would still mean the same thing. ◦ The CEO needs to communicate better with his managers, and vice versa.

Vicissitude (n) ◦ A change of circumstances or fortune, typically one that is unwelcome or unpleasant. ◦ During the life cycle of anything, it experiences the vicissitudes of life.
