5 focus attention on the quality of your body balance by comparing off- balance body positions(either too far forward or sideward) to the vertical. first, from the completed setup position, lean foward slowly, shifting your weight to the balls of your feet. Lean foward just enough to feel that you are about to lose your balance. Return to the initial upright position.

8 Take a position about 4 feet from the foul line on the approach. Stand with both feet together. Do not put your fingers in the ball or align it with your swing plane. Hold the ball in both hands at waist-level and at the midline of your body. begin counting in groups of four to establish your cadence. To sharpen sense of timing, subdivide your four-count cadence by adding an 'AND' between counts. Focus your eyes on the second arrow. On the 'AND' between 'three' and 'four', begin stepping on your sliding foot.
