2. Where is it located? The Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Lowlands is located at the southern regions of Ontario and Quebec. Large bodies of water found in this region include the St. Lawrence River, Lake Huron, Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. The landscape of the St. Lawrence Lowlands region can be described as very fertile with many waterways.

3. Population Even though the St. Lawrence Lowlands is the smallest landform region in Canada, it is home to approximately 50% of Canadians. St. Lawrence Lowlands are the most industry-based landform in Canada, with about 70% of the country's manufacturing industries. Three of the largest communities are Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal.

4. What does it look like here? The St.Lawrence River contains over 2000 islands, rocky islets, and on the land there are small hills. Long ago the river flooded and made the soil VERY fertile for today! Along the St. Lawrence River, trees are harvested for maple syrup.

6. What is the climate like? The climate of the region varies throughout the year. Summers are the hottest in Canada. Winters are fairly cold and can drop to - 30 degrees Celsius. The climate in the St. Lawrence Lowlands region can be described as very cold or very warm depending on the season.
