4 Pay and Benefits Pay $400,000 per year Expense allowance $50,000 Home- Whitehouse Automobiles Aircraft- Air force One, etc Camp David $191,000 retirement income

5 Succession 25 th Amendment established formal succession to Presidency 1967 –Vice President –Speaker of the House –President Pro-tempore –Cabinet in order of establishment Sec of State

6 Vice President Only listed power is to break ties in the Senate If office of VP is vacant President nominates a new one that must be approved by Congress President may not fire the Vice President
