2 Learning Beyond Registration This presentation aims to offer some insight into the range of opportunities that exist within the University for future training and education upon registration.

3 Learning Beyond Registration Learning Beyond Registration (LBR) provides the opportunity for post registration healthcare professionals (excluding doctors and dentists) to access a wide range of educational activity to develop competent, capable practioners appropriately prepared to deliver a dynamic, flexible, quality, client focused service. In April 2014 Health Education East Midlands (HEEM) entered in to contracts with twelve (12) regional education providers for the provision of a wide range of professional healthcare education. Eligible healthcare staff irrespective of their location in region, can access LBR funded activity at any of these twelve (12) centres. This enables our learners to access a broader portfolio of development modules under the core contract.

4 Access and Eligibility Funding for modules is provided by HEEM to eligible healthcare professionals employed to deliver NHS funded services, providing the learner and the module meet eligibility criteria. If you work within the East Midlands region you will need to contact the relevant lead in your organisation to check the local process for applying for LBR funding (start with your local Training Department or similar). If you work in the private, voluntary or independent sector please contact your Local Workforce LBR Lead. Staff should apply directly with the education provider concerned. However it is essential that applicants obtain approval from their designated authorised LBR signatory to approve the application and local policies/processes are followed.
