Kievan Rus This was the created state in Eastern Europe.
Started by the Vikings after taking over the Slavs. Taken over by the Mongols Will later develop into Russian 1169 CE

Assignment 1. Finish Cornell notes from Power point (10pts).
2. Make baseball cards for 1a. typical Slav (Pg.300), a. Oleg (Viking, Pg.301), 3a. Typical Byzantine Missionaries, Alexander Nevksky (Russian Prince, pg. 301), 4a. Kublai Khan (Mongol, Pg.254) Make cards out of paper FRONT: 1b. Write name 2b. draw a picture of them with their typical “uniform”, I.E. a Viking will have a shield, etc. BACK: 1c. Write what “team” they are with (Slave, Mongol, or Viking), 2c. two main points of what they accomplished over their “season”, I.E. life time. 3c. Which team they beat in the “play offs” and which team beat them, I.E. Slavs were beat by the Vikings.
