2 Pilgrims Chorus: Hey, Pilgrims. Hey, Pilgrims. We’ll tell your tale. To journey to your freedom, your ship set sail, set sail. Solo 1: A long time ago, a group of people decided to leave their homes in England to look for freedom and a better life. Solo 2: They packed their belongs, said goodbye, and set sail for a new world called America. These people were the Pilgrims. Chorus Solo 3: More than a hundred people squeezed onto the tiny ship called the Mayflower. The journey was long and very difficult. Solo 4: Finally, after two months at sea, the Pilgrims reached America. They found the place to build their new home and called it Plymouth. Chorus Solo 5: The first winter in America was so harsh that many Pilgrims became ill and many did not survive. Solo 6: When the spring arrived, a Native American came to greet the Pilgrims. Soon, others followed. They were peaceful and helped the Pilgrims in many ways. Chorus Solo 7: In the late autumn, the Pilgrims and Native Americans joined together in a feast to celebrate their good harvest. Solo 8: To remember that time of gratitude, we continue to celebrate the feast today. We call it Thanksgiving. Chorus

3 The Turkey Tango I taught my turkey how to tango. His name is Fred. He’s from Durango. In a tux, he looks so chic, with a rose held in his beak. And he does a nice fandango. Now Freddie teaches how to tango to all his buddies from Durango. Peter Panda, Betty Bear-they all think he’s Fred Astaire- even Al Orangutango. He’s suave and graceful. He would never trip or hobble. He’s got that polish like a diamond or a bauble. He’s fine and clever and his feathers never wobble. Though it is true that, when he dances, he will gobble. Solo: Gobble. Improvise Gobbles He’s suave and graceful. He would never trip or hobble. He’s got that polish like a diamond or a bauble. He’s fine and clever and his feathers never wobble. Though it is true that, when he dances, he will gobble. Solo: Gobble. He’ll teach the tango and he’ll always be so perky. But he won’t teach to anyone who’s being quirky. Solo: Gobble. From San Francisco to New York and Alburquerque, he’ll teach the tango. Just remember he’s a turkey. Solo: Gobble. all: Cha cha cha! Solo: Gobble.
