2. Origins ● The man who created Thanksgiving was Wiliam Bradford in 1621. He created Thanksgiving to thank God for having given them some food. This was on the last Thursday of November.

3. The celebrations Every member of the Plymouth colony was invited. The festival lasted three days. The Pilgrims dined, prayed and played. The indians taught the pilgrims about agriculture. All the guests gathered around a table and they prayed. The activities were mainly prayers and games.

4. Other information. The Indian chief is Massasoit. They didn’t eat pork but they ate turkey. They drank wine. They didn’t drink milk.

5. History The president who decided that the festival would be a national holiday was Abraham Lincoln. During this festival they ate turkey and vegetables. Other countries do not celebrate Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving enormously marked this era. Today we celebrate Thanksgiving at home with family.
