3  Water plays a very important role in our daily lives. It is needed for drinking, dental health, sanitation, industrial use, agriculture, medical, commercial use and leisure activities.  The safety of our water supply has improved compared to centuries ago when there was constant outbreak of diseases such as cholera and typhoid fever.  Some countries in other parts of the world do not have access to clean drinking water which is desperately needed to prevent disease outbreaks. 3 Introduction

14 In our daily lives we encounter many alternatives to bottled water. Knowing which alternatives are safe is key. In office buildings and schools choose the option of the water fountain before purchasing that bottle of water. On the go in your car, the train, exercise activities and walks or runs in the park, remember to fill up your reusable water bottle and take it with you. 14 Conclusion
