2 Why is Water Important? 75% of your body is made up of Water Water is ESSENTIAL for life How do you get water?

3 Do you need Water bottles? = = $1.50 = less then a penny You can drink 1,0000 cups of tap water for the cost of ONE water bottle. 1) Water bottles are more expensive

4 Water bottles are bad for your health Water bottles contain a dangerous chemical called BPA. If you consume too much BPA then that could leads to: 1) Cancer 2) Early puberty 3) Development problems 4) Brain effects Palliser, J. (2010). Banning the bottle. Science Scope, 34(2), 8-11.

5 What bottle are bad for the environment Poland Springs, Maine Nestle company takes water from Poland Springs to make water bottles.

8 Pollution Causes water shortage near the water bottle factories. Such as seen in Poland Springs, Maine Fumes near the factories can lead to cancer Biohazard sign

9 What can you do to help? Aluminum reusable water bottles Filter tap water Recycle water bottles Don’t freeze water bottles Don’t keep water bottles in the car

10 What difference can ONE person make When you recycle 1 water bottle enough energy is produce to light a 60watt light bulb for 6 hours
