1 Declaration of the Conference on the Human Environment (1972) by: Daniela Yurovsky (also known as the Stockholm Conference)  Draft Year: 1972  Amendment Years: 1992, at the United Nations Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  This declaration (or law) is an international law, established in 1971 in Stockholm, Sweden.

2 Further in Detail  This conference was held to agree on an international law concerning the environment, not to progress environmental technology.  The environmental issues affected by this declaration were problems like environmental degradation, problems concerning the atmosphere, marine pollution, and population growth.  The nations attending agreed that they shared responsibility for the quality of the environment, particularly the oceans and the atmosphere, and they signed a declaration of principles, The Declaration of the Conference on the Human Environment

3 Further in Detail  Though technically, the United Nations is responsible for regulation and enforcement of this declaration, all the countries around the world that agreed to this decision are responsible for upholding their agreement.
