The Internet

What is the Internet? The Internet is a lot of computers over the whole world connected together so that they can share information. It is a network of networks that links schools, homes and businesses together. If your computer is connected to the Internet, it can connect to millions of other computers, in many different parts of the world. Since all these computers are connected to one another, all over the world, it's easy for information to be passed from place to place. That's how works - and chat rooms and newsgroups and all that. People all around the world are using their computers to connect to other computers and exchange information.

WWW The World Wide Web (WWW) is the information, games and programs on the Internet. The World Wide Web has colors and pictures and sounds and movies.

Browser Software program that allows a person to view WWW documents. Examples of browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.

More are constantly being added so theses should only be used as guidelines to help you know what type of site you are on.
