Greenhouse Gases Traps heat in the Earths Atmosphere Before the Industrial Revolution, the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere was in a rough balance with what could be stored on Earth. The chief contributor to Global Warming? CO2

 In the mid-1700s industry took off, and people started emitting large amounts of greenhouse gases. We burned more and more fossil fuels to run our cars, factories, and our power plants, adding to the natural supply of greenhouse gases.  The Earths Capacity  Natural gases from plants and animals  650,000 years

 Temperature Shifts  “Will increase another 2.0 degrees Fahrenheit to 11.5 degrees Fahrenheit by  Polar Bears Threatened by Thaw of Arctic  Rising Seas  Melting Polar Ice Caps

 Learn about it  Shop smart  Use efficient appliances, replace light bulbs with low- voltage compact fluorescents.  Vote for responsible leaders  Reduce driving, use cleaner more efficient vehicles.

 It’s all about “Greenhouse Gases”.  Learn about it  Take responsibility
