My Car Design A Scientific Process

The Prototype The prototype of my car was made from 3 panels of 3mm balsa glued together with a hot glue gun. Two 60 mm wheels were cut from 5 mm balsa and attached to a wooden dowel axle. The 40 mm front wheels were cut from 5mm balsa and glued to a wooden dowel axle as well. A medium sized rubber band was looped around the back axle and anchored to a paperclip anchored just behind the front axle. The back wheels were then wound to tighten the band to store potential energy. The wheels were released as the car was put on the floor.
