AB 104 CCCCO/CDE Joint Reports 20 Chapter 13 of 2015 (AB 104, Committee on Budget) required CCCCO and CDE to submit joint reports describing their progress towards establishing: Common assessments and placement policies. Data sharing. Measures of effectiveness.

CCCCO/CDE Joint Reports 21 Common Assessments “Establish a menu of common assessments and policies regarding placement of adults seeking education and workforce services…” WIOA Title II providers use CASAS (other assessments approved by federal government include TABE and BEST). Common Assessment Initiative (developed by Chancellor’s Office) to align placement exams across community colleges. Chancellor and SPI to begin work after WIOA regulations and guidelines are released in spring 2016.

Joint Reports (Continued) 22 Data Sharing “…the chancellor and superintendent shall enter into agreements to share data related to effectiveness of the consortia between their agencies and with other state agencies, including…EDD and the CWIB.” Segments have entered into MOU to link and share data across providers, CCCCO, CDE, and EDD.
