Goals for Today What you know: main topic, purpose, text structure, craft, and developing open ended questions. Today’s goals: Learn and/or review how to access the ISD database and other reliable resources Use “KEYWORDS” and “OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS” from your Research Proposal to gather reliable information on your topic. Record the information you find in you WRITING JOURNAL Formative: Work on completing “Think About Subtopics”

Assignment: Thinking About Subtopics Formative assessment to see if students have figured out what they want to say to their readers Use your approved Research Proposal and facts, data, information to complete your assignment as they provide a context for the research.
