Measures of Academic Progress™ (MAP)

What is MAP™?  MAP - Measures of Academic Progress  Achievement tests  Delivered by computer

How does MAP work?  Questions appear on your computer screen  Use the mouse or keyboard to answer  Test will adjust based on how you answer  It will build a test for each student!

Why take MAP tests?  To find out exactly where the student is performing  To help teachers know what students should be working on to improve

To take the test:  Students should use their best test- taking strategies – teacher's will review this in class  Answer every question – cannot skip  Students cannot go back to a previous question

The first screen will look like this. Make sure the correct name is shown on the screen. Wait for directions and then click on the “Start Test” button.

Testing Reminders  Before the test make sure your child: Has a good night’s sleep  Eats a healthy breakfast During the test students should:  Follow directions  Use good test-taking strategies  Try their best
