EMERGING EUROPE 2005

Emerging Europe was first launched in 2003, the year prior to the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia joining the European Union. The report also includes Bulgaria and Romania (scheduled to join the EU in ); prospective EU candidate countries Croatia and Turkey; and Russia, which earlier this year signed an agreement with the EU to create a ‘Common Economic Space’ to promote trade and investment between the two economies. The ranking is formed by taking into consideration around 50 political, economic and property-related factors that affect the growth and stability of the countries’ property sectors.
