Objectives 1. Analyze Shakespearean language for connotation and denotation of phrases. 2. Review verbs and verb phrases. 3. Determine the connotative meaning of words as they are used in a text; analyze the cumulative impact of specific word choices on meaning and tone. Homework: Vocab flashcards and Choosing the right word

Warm up Instructions:Copy the sentences. Circle the subject. Underline the verb phrases 2x in the following sentences. 1. My wife is reading in the hammock under the tree. 2. The message can't be altered. 3. Somewhere a party is being planned.
