The Beginning Teacher Track Generates reliable and useable data to support decisions regarding retention and eventually tenure Help staff develop professionally and personally Support the practice of reflection and professional learning

The Professional Development Track Evaluation alternatives – –Action research – individuals or groups identify and solve a problem –Curriculum development – designing a curriculum or a curriculum component and analyzing the impact on student learning –Instructional strategies implementation – teacher(s) investigate, implement and analyze the effectiveness on student learning

–Peer Consultation/Coaching – teachers use clinical supervision to help each other grow professionally –Professional growth portfolio – teachers collect, display and reflect on their professional growth (standards based) –Structured professional dialogue/study groups/support teams – small groups of teachers gather regularly for focused discussion
