CAREER GOALS Setting your Career Goals

A career is one of the most important things in your life. With the properly planned career and career goals, you will be able to achieve what you want from your career in the most efficient way possible. Plan Your Career

Setting career goals is the only way to achieve your dreams. It must be accompanied by a written plan. It is not something you can put on your to-do- list or on your smart phone. We’re talking about life changing goals that require a written plan to be successful! Career Goals Setting

How to Choose a Career Think about personal interests, skill strengths, weaknesses and consider talking to a counselor.

It must be your perfect goal or it won’t have the “juice” to get you excited.

Career Decisions Continues What types of work would suit you? Do you want a job or a career? What is your dream job? Do you prefer to work in a large corporation or a small company or your own business? Do you prefer a service type job, manufacturing job, or professional job?

Career Decisions Continues Family-single or married, children or none, live close to other family member or in a different state. Lifestyle/Social-vacation, recreational activities, apartment or house, moderate or fashionably chic clothing style. Spiritual/Religion-active in your faith. Will your faith determine your career?

FINANCIAL SECURITY/HEALTHCARE/RETIREMENT Salary Health Benefits Home or apartment New Car Back to School to get a degree Own your own business Retirement Plans

Summary You set Career Goals by: 1.Deciding what you want to do, accomplish, or be in life. 2.Splitting your larger goal into smaller and more achievable goals. 3.Finally, you will want to create and develop a proper plan for your goal. It can be best to establish a step by step plan that will enable you to start working towards achieving it.
