2. What They Do What a fashion designer does is they design clothing and accessories for manufacturers and for sale directly to the public. May follow established fashion trends or create new designs that influence trends.

3. Skills Needed To be a fashion designer you need to have the following skills.  You need to be able to create fashion and style designs.  You need to be able to design and arrange objects.  You need to be able to operate computers to lay out designs and colors

Education and Requirements If I wanted this job then I would have to complete high school and then from there go to college.After high school and once in college I would have to get a two-year or four-year degree and to be knowledgeable in the areas of textiles, fabrics, ornamentation, and fashion trends.

Most states require candidates for the general sales license to complete between 30 and 90 hours of classroom instruction.
