All the things you need to investigate the world around you!

What are the 5 Process Skills? Observation Communication Comparison Order Categorization Scientists use the 5 process skills to experiment and learn about the world around them. These are the five main skills that scientists use.

 Use your senses in order to observe or to learn more about something.  Some of the traits you might look for are size, shape, color, or texture.

 Scientists communicate or share the information that is discovered.  This information can be shared orally or in written form (like a journal, picture, or graph).

 Compare two or more objects by identifying what is similar and what is different. Frogs Amphibian Green Live in water Need air to survive Cats Mammal Furry Live on land Both Need air to survive Have 4 legs Breathe Venn diagrams are a helpful way compare objects!

 Scientists put things in an organized order to help make information easy to understand.

?  Place objects into categories based on their similarities. Plants Animals
