HURRICANE FLOYD By GABRIELLE D. E.L.A SEEDS-3 rd grade Kennedy Elementary

THE HURRICANE HAS STARTED It all started on September 14, 1999, when Hurricane Floyd came into the area. Strong winds blew everywhere. Downpours scattered rain around every corner. People did whatever they could to survive this deadly storm.

What Did They Do? 57 people died in the event of Hurricane Floyd. Many people came together to help everyone. They gave away food, clothes, and money. They built shelters, too. Those are only two of the ways that they helped others.
