 HELLO! We are members of Jane Austen group.  We are an energetic group of class ix students.  We have tried to do our power point presentation on kinds of adjectives pertaining especially to adjectives of quality.  Before that we are making sure you know what an adjective is. Mrs Bhargavi Raj

The words fat,yellow,green and beautiful are describing words. They are describing the nouns which follow them. These are Adjectives. Some more examples are RED ROSES THE UGLY DUCKLING THE FAITHFUL DOG. DESCRIBING WORDS

 ADJECTIVES OF QUALITY He is lifting a heavy bar. A tall and a short boy An old man. Cold weather..

– The pink flower attracted me.. In the first sentence the noun ‘Flower’is being described by the word ‘pink’.It qualifies the noun flower.Hence the word ‘pink’ can be termed as an adjective of quality. Read the sentence given below

 Read the sentence given below.  The pink flower attracted me.  Which flower attracted you?  The pink flower.  The word ‘ Pink ’ answers the question what kind of a flower. Therefore it describes the noun flower. Hence ‘Pink’ is an Adjective of quality. Some more examples for you.

 In this sentence the word ‘white’ describes the birds flying in the sky.Hence the word white qualifies the noun bird.

The tall boy is my brother.  The word ‘Tall’ describes the noun boy.Hence it qualifies the noun boy,so tall is an adjective of quality.  The other nouns with which TALL can be used are : A tall tower  Two tall men.

Red apples are sold in the market.  The word ‘RED’ describes the noun apples. In other words it qualifies the noun apples, so red is an adjective of quality.
