In the end Robespierre succeeded in killing thousands and creating chaos throughout France.

Napoleon includes some of the goals of the Revolution in his laws called the Napoleonic Code, however he does away with some of the others concluding by crowning himself Emperor. Napoleon is defeated by a coalition of armies from across Europe and a lasting peace is negotiated at the Congress of Vienna by restoring the monarchies and balancing the power.
