The Beginning Bill Gates Gates and co-founder Paul Allen talked to Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems about a software for the company's new computer, despite not having made one. Quickly, gates and Allen developed a computer software and presented to mits. Steve Jobs Jobs created the Apple computer with fellow co-founders Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne in his parents’ garage in Immediately after it was finished, Jobs decided to begin selling it.

They began creating operating systems but when Microsoft’s BASICS had went into the public before release, many copies were being made and were ripping off Microsoft. Jobs was fired from apple and decided to start a new company called NeXT. Jobs would later say that being fired was a tough part of his career but a great part at the same time. "The heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything. It freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life."

Gates with IBM, Jobs with NeXT Bill Gates Steve Jobs IBM asked Microsoft to create the operating system for there computer. After some negotiating Gates and Microsoft agreed and despite the computer operating system saying IBM many purchasers knew that it was a Microsoft operating system. When Jobs was working for NeXT he developed a computer that was called the NeXTcube. Jobs said that it was the first interpersonal computer. In fact the computer had its own system. The NeXTcube was not a big hit and NeXT switched to selling software for computers. NeXT released the software WebObjects.

Gates loses IBM, Jobs with Pixar Bill GatesSteve Jobs In November of 1985, Microsoft made their first copy of Windows. Microsoft also made a deal with IBM to create a separate operating system called OS/2 but because of the differences between the operating systems, Gates’ relationship with IBM broke down and they both went there own ways. Jobs purchased Pixar from Lucasfilm’s and was executive producer of the first Toy Story and remained part of it through many other movies. Even though Jobs’ relationship with Disney was coming to an end, a new manager of Disney reworked the deals and settled on a contract with Pixar.

Jobs was diagnosed with Cancer in October of He resigned from Apple CEO in August of 2011 and died shortly after in October.

Who did more? I believe that Bill Gates did more for the computing world because he was the first person to create and actually great operating system for a computer.
