Service Packages on Health Education Campaigns 12 Service Packages to conduct health education campaigns awarded Activities includes under the Service Packages: Development of print materials Development of Audio Visual materials Outdoor materials Local level advocacy Seminars/Conferences Meetings Theatre for Development (Street Drama) Research/Assessment

Issues addressed through Service Packages are: o Drug Addiction o Drowning o Cancer o Behavioral Assessment o Adolescent Reproductive Health o Elderly Health o Maternal Child Health o Eye Care/Blindness o Diabetic and other endocrine Disease o Ischemic Heart Disease o Animal Contact Diseases o Branding of Model Villages Service Packages on Health Education Campaigns Cont.

Coordination Meeting Divisional Level Coordination Meeting o Two meeting already take place at Dhaka and Rajshahi Division in January 2016 o The meeting Chaired by the Divisional Director-Health o In the meeting, the SBCC Monitoring checklist was shared and introduced with all the Senior an Junior Health Education Officers o A detail consultation on the Annual Work Plan was also discussed in the meeting

Capacity Building Initiatives Training on Health Education & Promotion o Conducted 16 batches training at 12 districts o Sherpur, Narayangonj, Munshigonj, Tangail, Natore, Rajshahi, Bogra, Sunamgonj, Hobigonj, Sylhet, Moulavi Bazar, Manikgonj o The duration of the training is 3 days o The participants are: Medical Assistant (MA), SACMO, DPHN, HE, SI, AHI, HI, HA and CHCP

Campaign Activities Reducing Dietary Salt Intake o Leaflets and Stickers along with 3200 Posters distributed at all the 64 districts

Campaign at Model Villages.. In February 2016, with the support of BKMI Project BHE conducted following programs at the Muradpur Village of Kaliakoir Upazila under Gazipur District: Consultation with the Model Village Committee Members Dialogues with the mothers group and Orientation on different Health Education issues to the Primary School Children (Class III to V)

Orientation of eResources at Local Level A orientation on the eResources (eToolkit and eLearning Courses) to the HAs, AHIs and CHCPs provided at Kaliakoir Upazila Health Complex This month. Hands on exercise performed on installing the eToolkits and it’s best use. A detail step by step orientation also provided on the eLearning courses designed by BKMI

Upcoming event/activities 9 more Health Education Model Villages will be undertake to perform the same activities by May 2016 Orientation on eResources will be continue along with the model village activities 8 more batches will receive training on Health Education and Promotion in following 4 districts by this month o Magura, Jhinaida, Jessore, Chapai Nawabgonj By February 2016, two more Divisional Level Coordination meeting will take place at Cox’s Bazaar and Khulna districts covering Chittagong and Khulna Division
