A Modern Approach to Anne Bradstreet By Dakota Watts 10/12/12

Anna Bradstreet Anne Bradstreet is an American poet who was the first women to have a book published in America. Varity of her poems she had written were focus on her love, family, and her feelings.

Nathaniel Adams Coles Nat “King” Cole is an African American artist born March 17, 1919 and died February 15, Born in Montgomery he made (arguably) the best love songs ever. In my opinion his best song recorded was “Fly me to the moon” but my favorite song of him and favorite song in the world is “Unforgettable”.

Unforgettable “Unforgettable” by Nat Cole describers his love for a women (someone who is close to him). The song itself is quite short but you can feel the joy and love Nat Cole has for the women. Out of all the songs about someone describing love for someone else Nat Cole doesn’t use the lines like “I love you”, “I in love with”, “I want you to love me” etc, He simply states the she is “unforgettable” which is just so original and loving-literally I think it’s possible to find any kind of verbal expression to explain the pure brilliance of this song.

To my loving husband... In the poem “To my loving husband" Anne Bradstreet uses deep metaphor s and hyperboles the describe her love for her husband. She even uses states that her rivers cannot quench her love, truly she her love for her husband was special but of course everyone else's are to.

Hyperlinked To my loving husband Unforgettable

Powerful Explanations Then while we live, in love let's so persever That when we live no more, we may live ever. I prize thy love more than whole Mines of gold Or all the riches that the East doth hold. "Unforgettable" has similar lines that expressing eternal love. However, in the verses, Nat Cole uses unforgettable demonstrating eternal love for his loved one. Nat Cole as glorifies his love one by singing: Like a song of love that clings to me How the thought of you does things to me Never before has someone been more

Powerful Explanations Unforgettable, that's what you are Unforgettable though near or far Like a song of love that clings to me How the thought of you does things to me Never before has someone been more Unforgettable in every way And forever more, that's how you'll stay That's why, darling, it's incredible That someone so unforgettable Thinks that I am unforgettable too In the verses the artist uses words like "forever" and "unforgettable" to imply a lasting relationship and bond. Similar to Anne Bradstreet how she writes: Then while we live, in love let's so persever That when we live no more, we may live ever. Both poems show that the artists have eternal bonds with their dear ones
