SAVING THE WORLD One animal at a time

Deforestation Animals, all around us, everywhere, they are part of the planet. Without these beautiful creatures our life would be barren and dull, no food, no life. Did you know that Australia has the second highest rate of deforestation? Poor fluffy cute animals like the giant panda could be extinct by middle 2016 if we don’t stop poaching them for their furs.

Pollution Deforestation is chopping down forests; if we don’t have forests we don’t have animals. With the amount of deforesting we could be left with no forests in 100 years. Sawing the trees also removes a valuable carbon store. Burning the forest causes pollution that contributes to global warming. The pollution from cars, trucks, building, and everything else in this dirty world gets evaporated into the clouds so when its rains occasionally the “water” is acid-like destroying trees and buildings. Horrible isn't it?

TREES Trees are important because they provide habitats and oxygen for animals and people. Without trees we could not breathe. Think about it, beautiful, wonderful animals in your backyard with birds everywhere and greenery all around you or no animals, no bush, just the smoky city. We can retain more trees in the suburbs, not just the large- scale forest.

SOME WAYS YOU CAN HELP Some ways you can help animals and stop deforestation is to buy products that require a lot less packaging and don’t buy those chips with the hundreds of little packets in one big packet buy the bigger packet instead. Buy the dolphin free tuna and the free-range chickens, all of this stuff adds up and it helps. You could also start planting more trees and plants in your backyard, everything little makes a big difference.
