 The Television Industry has enhanced the viewing experience through its advances in technology such as 3D television and internet connections.  Sales growth for TVs have been decreasing over the last several years.  The lack of sales over the past 4 years caused prices of plasma TVs to go down by 51%.  The attitudes of the consumers, is that the technology isn’t worth the purchasing of a new TV.

 Consumers’ attitudes toward 3D TV is that no matter what is offered, it is still not the same as the movies theater experience.  Consumers don’t think the new technology is worth the price.

 Consumers frequently frustrated with the unresolved the network streaming problems.

 Attitude: a lasting, general evaluation of people, objects, advertisements, or issues  Principle of cognitive consistency: We value/seek harmony among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors We will change components to make them consistent  Attitude Tracking: Changes in different age groups Scenarios about the future Identification of change agents

 If price wasn’t an issue would you purchase a 3D TV over a HDTV?  Will 3D effect regular TV programming?  Do you think the TV will become the main object for using the internet?
