 Foshay is located in South Central Los Angeles.  It is a k-12 span school  High school has a population of 650

 Goal is to relate all that we do to real world experience and opportunities.  Projects include: Web Design, Flash Animation, Video Production, Ad-design, Ethics Presentations, Genetics Web sites,  Students have career course with same teacher for 3 years  Build resumes and Digital Portfolios from Day 1.

 Offer Opportunities  Assist in structuring curriculum  Mentor students HINT: Make it organic and useful to the students

 Get your advisory members to come to school and meet before, during, or after an activity  Example: I invite everyone (EVERYONE) to our mock interview day and then schedule a 45 minute meeting in the middle to discuss students and academy

 I believe in giving people something constructive to do – not just to sit there and observe and not  Field trips are great and advise is awesome but it often falls on deaf ears. › Last field trip, the first half the employees presented to us and then the students presented their portfolios in small groups to the employees

Everywhere! Through friends, at parties, walking thorugh your campus, on field trips. Everyone can be a potential partner
