GOT TO LOVE ME ADVISORY CLASS (1)Get the pattern from the advisory bin/section in the classroom (2)Go over BODY LANGUAGE – body parts and indicate or draw in the pattern given. (3)Use your creativity to decorate it (4)Read through the other slides

GOT TO LOVE ME Objectives 1.Gain a deeper understanding of who you are as individuals; 2.Identify your personal strengths and abilities; 3.Love yourself for who you are; 4.Apply ways of loving yourself; 5.Relate loving yourself to exude respect for yourself and others.

BODY LANGUAGE HEAD – Name what you feel most comfortable with (which you prefer and is pleasing to you) RIGHT HAND – Word or phrase which best describe you LEFT HAND – event in your life either positive or negative which had helped you grow as a person

BODY LANGUAGE STOMACH – Symbol that would represent a major block to your growth as a person ( what would be something external or internal which hinders you from growing as person) HEART – What do you consider as God’s greatest gift to you as a person

BODY LANGUAGE RIGHT FOOT –Name of a person who plays a significant role in your life at present LEFT FOOT – Symbol that will represent something that keeps you going (What is the source that sustains you through life and living)

REFLECTION 1.How did you feel while doing the activity? While sharing your body language? 2.Which body part was the easiest/most interesting for you to identify?Which part is the most difficult? Why?

REFLECTION 3.What impact did this activity have on you? In what way did it affect you? 4. Create a poem that relates loving yourself is essential in showing respect for yourself and others.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 1.You will receive a body. You may like it or hate it, but it will be yours for the entire period of this time around. 2.1 You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full- time informal school called LIFE.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 2.2 You will learn lessons. Each day in this school you will have the opportunity to learn lessons. You may like the lessons or think them irrelevant and stupid.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. Growth is a process of trial and error: experimentation. The “failed” experiments are as much part of the process as the experiment that ultimately “works”.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 4. A Lesson is repeated until learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can then go on to the next lesson.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 5. Learning lessons does not end. There is no part of life that does not contain its lessons. If you are alive, there are lessons to be learned.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 6. “There” is no better than “here”. When your “there” becomes a “here”, you will simply obtain another “there” that will again look better than “here”.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 7. Others are merely minus of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects something you love or hate about yourself.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 8. What you make of your life is up to you. You have all the tools and resources you need. What you do with them is up to you. The choice is yours.

THE RULES FOR BEING HUMAN 9. Your answer lies inside you. questions lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen and trust. 10. You will forget all these.
