 TO MAKE SILK, CHINESE BAKED SILKWORM COCOONS SO THEY COULD COLLECT THE SILK. TTHE CHINESE ALSO MADE THEIR OWN CALCULATOR CALLED THE ABACUS. AN ABACUS IS A DEVICE WITH ROWS OF BEADS.

BUDDHA:CHRISTIANS:  ONE DAY, WHILE A MAN WAS MEDITATING, HE THOUGHT,IF YOU LIVE A LIFE OF EVIL, THENYOU WILL SUFFER, BUT IF YOU DO GOOD DEEDS, YOU WILL LIVE A GOOD LIFE. IIN CHINA, THERE ARE LESS CHRISTIANS THAN BUDDHISTS.

NNOODLES IN CHINA COME IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES.  RICE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO CHINESE MEALS.  ONE OF THE CHINESE INVENTIONS THAT INVOLVE FOOD IS CHOPSTICKS,WHICH WERE INVENTED 3,000 YEARS AGO.

 TEA IS THE MOST IMPORTANT DRINK IN CHINA  IT COMES IN THREE TYPES: GREEN,RED, AND BLACK DRAGON

 LUNAR NEW YEAR IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FESTIVAL IN CHINA.  NEW CLOTHES ARE BOUGHT AND RICE BINS ARE FILLED.  QINGMING JIE, THE CLEAR AND BRIGHT FESTIVAL, COMES IN SPRING.  THIS DAY, THEY REMEMBER THEIR DEAD ANCESTORS.

 ZHONGQIU JIE IS THE MID AUTUMN FESTIVAL.  PEOPLE COME OUT TO LOOK AT THE MOON AND ENJOY THE NICE WEATHER.  DWANU JIE IS THE DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL.  ON THIS DAY, DRAGON BOAT RACES ARE HELD AND RICE DUMPLINGS ARE EATEN.

 THE FIRST CHINESE BELLS WERE MADE OF BRONZE.  ONE INSTRUMENT, SIMILAR TO A FIDDLE IS AN ERHU.  IT ONLY HAS 2 STRINGS INSTEAD OF 4.  ANOTHER INSTRUMENT OF THE CHINESE IS CALLED A MOON LUTE.  IT IS CALLED CHIN IN CHINA.

AA PIPA IS A LUTE WITH 4 STRINGS. IIT IS HELD UPRIGHT AND IT’S STRINGS CAN BE PLUCKED. AA GUZHENG IS A LARGE ZITHER WITH ABOUT STRINGS! IIT IS PLAYED LIKE A HORIZONTAL HARP AND IT SOUNDS LIKE ONE,TOO.

 ONE FAMOUS CHINESE SPORT IS KUNG-FU.  IT IS VERY DIFFICULT.  A POPULAR EXERCISE IN CHINA IS TAI-CHI. AAND, FINALLY, THE CHINESE HAVE BEEN DOING ACROBATICS FOR LONGER THAN 2,000 YEARS.

 MAH JONG IS A POPULAR ADULT GAME.  THE LOUD CLICKING OF TILES BEING MOVED IS FAMILIAR TO MAH JONG PLAYERS.  CHINESE CHESS ORIGINATED WHEN THE CHINESE WATCHED CHESS TOURNAMENTS.  IT INVOLVES TAKING PIECES, NOT CAPTURING.

 DOMINOES IN CHINA WERE USED TO TELL THE FUTURE, NOT AS A BOARD GAME OR SETTING UP COURSES AND KNOCKING THEM DOWN. FFOR 2,000 YEARS, CHINESE KIDS PLAYED THE GAME WE KNOW AS HACKY SACK IN THE U.S.A.
