Presentation Overview 1. Current System Snapshot 2. Accomplishments 3. Obstacles 4. Design Decisions 5. Design Norms 6. Revised Goals 7. Questions

The Team Simeon Eisen, Jeff Overweg, Jacob Vander Wall, Aaron Maley

Program Snapshot Current System Overview: -Current System allows for a host of ways to make it more sophisticated. - Team Responsibilities and what we are working on…

Accomplishments Successfully built a prototype auger system for chemical delivery. Web server testing has allowed website to be viewed on LAN as well as host its own network. Built and Tested a microcontroller programmer for use with AVR Studio. Ordered a majority of the parts that we researched in the PPFS.

Obstacles Patents Current patents would prevent us selling our current configuration on the market. Working with surface mount components Both LCD and Touch Screen components come as surface mount parts Static IP for Wireless Module Modern routers primarily use dynamic IP addressing Accuracy of chemical delivery

Design Decisions 1.25” Garden Auger Chose based on Cost and durability ATMega 644 More I/O and Memory for Website Servo Motors Based on torque calculations on dispenser prototype AVR Studio Allows more direct access to the microcontroller than the arduino

Design Norms Trust Safety and reliability Transparency Clear, effective communication Stewardship Environment, resources and time

Revised Goals Integration of dispenser prototype with micro- controlled stepper Develop internal website to its maximum size Integrate graphic LCD and Touch Screen Controls Learn AVR Studio Build a PCB design for final system Determine router compatibility list for product, if static IP cannot be circumvented
