Fact or Fib Behind Vascular dementia, Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. Alzheimer’s Disease is most common in women. Ronald Reagan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 83. Emil Kraepplin named the disease, which was previously referred to as presenile dementia, Alzheimer’s disease.

Fib Behind Vascular dementia, Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. Fact Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia in the world. It accounts for 50%-70% of all cases of dementia. Vascular dementia is the second most common form accounting for about 20% of dementia cases.

Fact or Fib There is no cure for Alzheimer’s disease. In Alzheimer’s, brain cells die and synapses become larger. Alzheimer’s disease is caused by a mutation in the gene, Lamin A. The same amyloid plaques found in an Alzheimer’s brain are also found in the pancreas of those with type 2 diabetes.

Fib Progeria is caused by a mutation in the gene, Lamin A. There are is no single confirmed cause of Alzheimer’s but there are many identified. One is the form of APOE in your body. APOE e4 increases risk and APOE e2 decreases risk and the most common, APOE e3, doesn’t affect the risk of developing the disease. Alzheimer’s disease is caused by a mutation in the gene, Lamin A.
