Placement Test When do you give the placement test? - beginning of the school year - if a new student is added to your caseload How do I know which placement test to give? - start with the level that corresponds to their grade level - depending on their percentage you may have to give an additional test (see Assessment Book)

Placement Test Do I keep the placement test? - YES! Keep the placement test in a folder for that student. This is documentation that may be needed if the student is considered for testing for special education services.
