Problem statement Resilience is an issue that has mainly been addressed as a response to crisis situations or catastrophic events. Many different definitions and conceptual approaches of Resilience in cities exist. Cities need to develop their resilience and technical security systems (TSS) projects and strategies in order prevent, adapt, react and learn from crisis and improve day to day city management. Most Urban Systems are interdependent but they are working in silos or in an isolated mode.

Objectives Generate a document / guideline / white book – Describe a conceptual framework on urban resilience and TSS – Assessment methodologies principals – City case studies will also be analyzed

Expected participants Cities Academia Consultant-Engineering-Urban Agency Technological Provider Urban Service Operator Current members: City of Barcelona, Cast Info, OptiCits-IQS
