Background  UM CBDE began in 1935, current model in 2000  No RWJ funds; initial State/Medicaid grant  Michigan has adult Medicaid dental benefits  Current class size: 110 students  D4 students rotate 10 weeks – usually 2 week intervals – moving to D3s for 2 weeks 30 D4 students out /wk., 1-3 students/site  Most clinics contract for students wks./yr.  School pays for transportation and housing
