July Membership Meeting Bylaws Policy and Procedures Election of Chair Juried Shows Financials August Meeting Anything Else? Nancy Arbeene Tent Sale

Bylaws and Policies and Procedures Creates 4 new levels of membership Additional shift the week before Christmas Code of Conduct Grievance Procedure New Board and election procedure Change of Fiscal Year (November to November) Annual audit. (recommendations of my accountant)

Election of Chair Quorum not met, for voting on president or revised bylaws.

Juried Shows Judi – drop off procedures Judi has created a form that will be at the front desk. During the first week of August, artists will be bringing their artwork by, which NEEDS TO BE LOGGED IN. Very very very important. There will also be a check off to insure that they have paid the entry fee (some may pay by Pay pal) Bar codes will be created to scan in if they have not paid through pay pal. If you want to help hang the show, meet at the gallery Saturday August 8 at 10 am. You might want to bring a hammer, or level, or measuring tape. Judi had extra flyers for the show which she printed for distribution. If you are on the flyer distribution list (sign up genius) please make sure you print a flyer or get a flyer and put it where you volunteered to. Pictures will remain at the show – even if they sell. There are gold paint pens at the front desk. Once the painting or artwork is paid for, use the pen to make a round dot, indicating it has been sold. (Paintings sold for the show right now (nashoba artists) can be taken home immediately if sold. Tom volunteered to do jpegs of artwork that is on exhibit. (we will need a release for that) August 16 is the reception. A signup genuis will be created where you can volunteer to help out. Please only bring bite size food.

Juried shows, cont’d Future shows – on the website – October –November = Memories Teaming with non-profit – Alzheimer’s Association Why – 1.Press more likely to pick up our press releases – greater exposure, minimum cost 2.Easy to promote on social media – MSPCA, for instance, has 19,000 friends on its facebook page. When they mentioned us on our page, there were big spikes on our webpage. Hard to know how that translates into actual sales, but a seed is planted. 3.Easier to target interested audiences. 4.Looking at non profits that have good ratings and with which people can support 5.Casts a wider net, introducing more people to our gallery, creating a destination. 6.Boxes that will be used for the “Memory Box” idea have arrived. I would like a head count of who will be needing one. I only bought 10, and 10 people indicated they would need one. Judi suggested we have a box decorating party – probably in August when I get back from a vacation. 7.Also, I will be bringing my wheel down to the gallery (outside) so we can make dog bowls (for the MSPCA fundraiser). Any one who wants to try their hand at making a bowl is welcome. Probably last week of August.

Financials

Good things that happened during June Approved for outdoor dining Next Week liquor license for entire building – it now appears the town is going to contest it n the grounds that Gwenn is a night club. The grounds are looking spectacular Made it through the heavy rains with no leaks 7 paintings sold at opening – Thanks to all the folks who helped out with that. Lots of reports of wall to wall people, and parking lot was full. Excellent coverage while I was gone – thank you What do you all want to do about the August Meeting? Meet without me Meet when I get back Cancel Meeting – my vote.
