Task Force Role Identify a direction to go with elem. facilities Maintain positive communication Develop consensus (general agreement) Develop good participation & representation Develop a new plan with a new voice Explore middle school direction Develop a long term view 3

Reminders Facilitator’s Role - “Create a safe and trusting environment for participants to make meaningful decisions.” Ground Rules – “Participate in discussions but be productive and not a blocker.” The Process - “Define educational priorities, study facilities, identify options, seek additional community input, make recommendations.” 4

Information Update Facilities Study At the August Board meeting, the Board of Education hired the DLR Group/W-Design to complete a Facilities Study to inform the process. The DLR Group/W-Design has begun the analysis and will present findings at our next meeting. The Study will include an analysis of structural, electrical, and mechanical systems; as well as environmental, security/safety, functional program issues; documentation and cost analyses. 5
