Why Bohai Region? Political and cultural „capital“ of China Ancient „Jizhou“ with many geographical advantages Increasingly integrated area consisting of population of more than 110 mil. – biggest economic hub in North China Several links with the Czech Republic already established – the most recent and symbolic one being the direct flight Beijing-Prague operated by Hainan Airlines Extensive regional cooperation between B-T-H Region and Czech regions

Integrated Development of the Region The Layout Plan of Integrated Development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province was approved by the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau on April 30, 2015 as the top-level design for the integration of the region. Beijing to develop into China's political, cultural, technological innovation, and international exchange center. Tianjin to become a center for manufacturing, research and development, a core area for international shipping, and a demonstration site for financial innovation and reform. Hebei province to become a base for logistics, a pilot site for industrial transformation and upgrading, a demonstration area for urbanization and urban-rural development, and an ecological support for the region. The Czech Republic wishes to be part of this process!

Why services, food and tourism? Apart from technology (promoted last year), Czech Republic offers a wide variety of services, including high-end (with some operating in China – e.g. PPF/HomeCredit, Moravia IT …) There are many typical food and beverage products from the Czech Republic that deserve more promotion in China Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region can strongly benefit from the direct flight between Beijing and Prague – special promotion of tourism in this area is therefore very meaningful
