What do your reading scores say about your college readiness?

 Your RIT score - between came up on the screen right when you finished your test. What does it mean? Your NWEA Reading Score

  Norm : the mean score of all students who took the test at your grade level nationwide  50% of students who took the test scored higher than the norm, and 50% scored lower #1: How you compare to the rest of the students who take the test

  NWEA RIT scores correlate with ACT scores  Describes how likely you are to earn a B or higher in a related college level course (in this case, reading) #2: Your college readiness

 Example: A Reading RIT score of 237 means that the student has a 54% chance of meeting the CRBS A 237 Reading RIT score correlates with a 21 on the Reading section of the ACT College Readiness Board Score (CRBS)

 The eventual goal of all college- bound students: The higher your RIT score, the more likely you are to earn a B or higher in a college level reading course. The CRBS - a Reading RIT score of 237 (or higher!)

  Review your Fall ‘12 test results with your Group Moderator – how do you compare to the national norms and the CRBS?  Set goals for the next testing cycle in March ’13  Discuss colleges to which you could apply with your current score  Determine steps and practices to improve your score In Group, you will:
