Programs (also called Apps) Internet Explorer Chrome Word PowerPoint

window the box you see on your screen when you open a program

icons small pictures on the screen that you can click on

printer machine that puts words or pictures from the computer onto paper

maximize to make a window bigger on your screen

minimize to put the program on your task bar

double click To click quickly two times

highlight to drag the mouse over words so that the words are in a box

title bar the bar at the very top of a window (shows document title and program name)

Menu Bar the long bar near the top of the window that has words on it (Home, Insert, Page Layout, etc.)

Ribbon the bar at the top of a window with icons on it (bold, italics, underline, etc.) This is also called the toolbar.
